With Adobe® LiveCycle® Rights Management ES2, you can encrypt files and apply persistent and dynamic enforcement on sensitive information that helps maintain confidentiality regardless of where the data resides in the information lifecycle. Detailed audit logs let you monitor each recipient's use of sensitive information, including when and how often a file is accessed.

Dynamically manage information policies

Protect files based on policies that map business objectives to security requirements. Revise and revoke access and usage rights at any time without having to reissue a file after it is distributed.

Protect PDF and other documents, both online and offline

Authors and administrators can apply security policies to PDF files created from popular desktop applications, including Microsoft Office documents and CAD files such as PTC Pro/ENGINEER and CATIA. Protections can be applied either manually or in an automated server-based process. Recipients can view and work with these rights-protected documents just as they would their PDF counterparts - both online and offline.

Add built-in security to all LiveCycle applications

Rights Management ES2 provides built-in security for other LiveCycle modules to protect files inside repositories such as LiveCycle Content Services ES2. Protect process information with LiveCycle Process Management ES2, or automate protection in concert with LiveCycle PDF Generator ES2.

Enhance the value of existing IT infrastructure investments

Based on open standards and built on J2EE, all LiveCycle software modules can be easily integrated with existing enterprise infrastructures. In addition to Rights Management ES2, use LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES2 for added document integrity and nonrepudiation. With LiveCycle Content Services ES2 and LiveCycle Connectors for ECM, you can extend document manageability, including version control and expiration dates, into a range of content management systems. And through tight integration with Content Services ES2, users can add rights management to PDF or Office files automatically as they are checked out of the content repository.

Intuitive user interface

LiveCycle Launchpad ES2 is an Adobe AIR® application that offers an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop interface you can use to initiate ad hoc LiveCycle processes. The remoting interface lets IT managers deploy new processes to the desktop without installing new software. Simply identify the UI components and the associated LiveCycle application, and Launchpad will pick up the changes without a restart or install. Settings and policies are automatically surfaced on the interface, so configuration settings are always up to date.
